The booklet roughly contains a 2 and a half pages text about this concert and Stephen Sondheim by Sheridan Morley (drama critic of The Spectator and The International Herald Tribune, author of Stephen Sondheim Songbook, Hey Mr Producer, the Musical World of Cameron Mackintosh). There are also small B&W or color pictures of the main performers, conductors and other guests. The whole cover (front + back) is in fact a rather bad quality double page picture of the ending of the concert, with everybody on stage. It would have been wonderful to have such a picture with a much better quality.

For Sondheim fans, but possibly for any musical theater music lover, I must say that this recording is a must-have. The songs (and pure music) selections are really original or originally rendered. Everyone's working to make that evening a success and it's a success. Great performers are also giving a lot here. It's even better that Hey! Mr. Producer, but with less popular music (that's one of the reasons why it is so good), so not boring at all. There are also lots of spoken text in this recording, and I appreciated it a lot. A really great recording!
