Music Boulevard - Ordered 01/06/99 - Shipped 01/08/99 - Received 01/19/99 The booklet contains a very good text by Mark Shenton that talks about Merrily We Roll Along and what happened since its conception. There is also a good synopsis. At the end, there is a note from Paul Kerryson, Artistic Director of the Leicester Haymarket Theatre about his feelings concerning Merrily We Roll Along. There are also 4 small B&W photos of the performers and a big B&W photo of Stephen Sondheim with George Furth. The quality of this recording is very good. The performers are also excellent. But I still find nothing that would hook me to the show. Am I too young to appreciate it up to what it's supposed to be worth? I think it's the score that do not please me as much as Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd or even Sunday In The Park With George. There are pretty songs, funny songs, but nothing that remained in my mind after listening, or no song that I wanted to play again while listening at it.
