Footlight - Ordered 06/04/1999 - Out Of Stock Footlight - Ordered 01/12/2000 - Received 01/31/2000 The Ensemble Theatre's production opened on 4th September 1998. Director: Crispin Taylor, Musical Director: Andrew Ross, Orchestrations: David King. Originally commissioned by the WA Academy of Performing Arts, and first performed there as The Voyage of Mary Bryant in August 1996. The booklet contains a two pages synopsis, and a medium color picture of the cast smiling at the camera. This is a nice recording, with good vocal performances, and a soft romantic score. There are some moments where synthetic instruments make some ugly sounds (at the end of the Sail Away parts, including the finale, it really lowers the song quality, while the score is actually very nice).
