Hah! THE Len Cariou's performance is one of the reasons why this cast recording is necessary. I've been expecting him to slash Anne with a razor at a moment, but fortunately, it didn't happen :-). Therefore, this remastered version's sound is terrific (well I didn't hear the not remastered version) and when I listened to it, I really had the feeleing I was on stage between the actors. And this sound quality added to the good pronunciation of the singers made that I could understand the words without the lyrics printed. The "De Luxe" booklet is not so "De Luxe" in my opinion, simply because there are no lyrics. But there are several nice B&W photos of the performers and Stephen Sondheim, along with a good synopsis and a little history of the show. My opinion is that both OLC and OBC are very good. It'll take me some time to definitely choose between the two.
