Amazon.com - Ordered 04.28.2000 - Shipped 06.02.2000 - Received 06.23.2000 The booklet contains a one page short introduction by Tom Jones, a 2 and a half page text about the show by Peter Filichia (New Jersey drama critic for Star-Ledger, and a daily columnist for www.theatre.com) and a one page synopsis and a quarter of a page biography of the authors. It also contains one big, 1 medium and 2 small B&W pictures of the authors and performers. This recording is a remastered version of the previous recording of that show I had acquired and listened at. What I think about The Fantasticks and this recording in particular? This is rather incredible how I've come to love it given the first reaction I had when I first listened at it: "What an old thing!!", with that Try To Remember song that's been overused for a cofee ad in France (maybe in other countries though, but I don't know). Fortunately, at this time the lyrics, which were not included in the booklet, were available somewhere on the WEB so I could follow better the story, and I came to greatly appreciate that musical through this recording. It's possible that it's because, as I've read somewhere, people of all ages can find something that they do have lived or currently live, something true and amusing when seen from the outside. But there are other great moments in that recording, the moments when Jerry Orbach speaks are fantastick, I just would like to lean back and fall into sleep hearing him and the soft music. Of course, the Rape Song is a masterpiece, but I'm also very fond of Never Say No and Plant A Radish which I find very amusing (not especially great, but amusing). This is really a recording every musical lover must have, not only because it's history (and by the way the longest running musical), but also because it's very good.
