Amazon.com - Ordered 04/08/99 - Shipped 04/14/99 - Received 04/24/99 The Roundabout production of Cabaret opened on Broadway at the Kit Kat Klub (formerly Henry Miller's Theatre) on March 19, 1998. The booklet is very nice, because it's full of big color pictures of the performers on stage: 2 2-pages, 5 full page, 5 medium and 1 small pictures, plus one behind the CD in the jewel box. There is a half page note from Joe Masteroff. There are lots of small review extracts and a roughly 2 pages of text from Bill Rosenfield about the show and this production. After hearing at 3 versions of Cabaret I must say that this show have incredible qualities. It's quite crazy, and it allows lots of delightful decadence in the interpretation of the different characters. Alan Cumming is a wonderful Emcee, I love his way of singing Money or I Don't Care Much. I'll also remark Natasha Richardson's performance, for example in Don't Tell Mama, which is particularly well done. These are just examples among others, because most of the recording is very enjoyable. A very recommended recording.
